Matcha Oatmeal Raisin Cookies


  • 75 g unsalted, softened butter (or salted)
  • 75 g light muscovado sugar
  • egg replacer (potato starch) – equivalent to 1 whole egg
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp of E&O Matcha powder
  • 75 g oatmeal
  • 75 g raisins

  1. Preheat an oven to 180 degrees C. Prepare a baking tray with greaseproof baking paper.


  1. Beat butter and sugar together first until fluffy


  1. Then gradually beat in egg replacer – We use Orgran egg replacer – Add 1tsp of egg replacer + 2tbsp(30ml) of water and stir in a cup then pour into mixture


  1. Sift in self raising flour and E&O Matcha powder into mixture


  1. Finally, fold in oatmeal and raisins into mixture


  1. Use a tbsp. to scoop out the mixture into your hands and shape into a ball then place onto tray. Repeat until all of the mixture has been used. This should make 10-12 cookies.

  1. Place tray in the pre-heated oven for 10-15 mins


  1. Once baked remove from oven and set on a cooling tray
